You Are Here showcases the magic and glow and versatility of glass as an art medium. Curated by Dawn Wallhausen, the show features regional artists working in a variety of hot and cold techniques, introduced by historic examples from the era when glass manufacturing ruled in Jeannette, Pa.
The opening reception for Fragile: Handle With Care takes place on Saturday, August 17 at 6:00 pm. the reception is free and open to the public.
Also join us on Saturday, September 14 from noon until 3 pm at the Jeannette Heritage Festival on Clay Avenue, just down the block from the gallery. You Are Here will be presenting the Hot Wheels mobile glass blowing studio from the Pittsburgh Glass School. See first hand the magic of forming molten glass into artistic and functional items.
Hot Wheels is being presented by YAH through an art grant from Westmoreland County Parks and Recreation.
